Mirai Dojo's new website

Sensei Anne Hastings 6th Dan JKA based in Karesborough, North Yorkshire has just updated her website. It is well worth a look.
I have altered the link in the sidebar to her new site, but here is the link anyway http://www.miraidojo.com/
We are fortunate to have a few ladies in our club at the moment and we would like to encourage a few more.
Although Karate is a male dominated martial art, Sensei Anne is more than capable of putting male karateka in their place, if they step out of line and is an aspiration to all karateka.
Sensei we hope to train with you again soon.
Great web site by the way.

York Course and Grading 31st March & 1st April 2007

It's that time again Kato Shihan's course and grading weekend, all IJKA members should make every effort to train with Sensei when he is in Yorkshire. (Non IJKA members are welcome to attend this open course). Some Karateka train for years and never benefit from training with an internationally acclaimed 8th Dan Instructor, so make the most of it and come along.

Venue : St Peters School Sports Hall, St Peters School, off Bootham (A19) , York. The entrance is just opposite the Clifton Cinema/Bingo.

    Training:
    Saturday- 1.30 for 2pm to 4pm
    Sunday - 9.30 for 10am to 1pm

    Fees: Still the same!
Training Fee - £18 ( One or two days, the price is the same so try and make both days)
    Grading Fees - £ 10 (£6 for 12th to 10th Kyu)
If you are grading you must train and your total fee will be training + grading ie £28 (or £24)

Our thanks go to Sensei Ian Shaw for all his hard work in organising these weekends. Osu!

  • IJKA European Championships Budapest July 14-15

    Hi,
Is anyone reading my blog planning to go to Hungary in July?
Bulletin No 2 has been posted on the IJKA Hungary Website, the link is below:
    http://www.geocities/ijkahungary/IJKAEB2007_Bul2.htm?200711
Registration forms are required to be sent back by the 31st March 2007, so there is not much time left to sort yourself out if you plan to go.
Helen, Rebecca and myself plan to go to both the course and the championships, we are going from Manchester on Wed 11th and returning on Tuesday 17th.
It would be nice to get an idea on who else will be there, please drop me an e mail.
    Osu!
