Course and Grading with Kato Shihan

This Weekend Kato Shihan came to York to run a course and grading for Haxby, York and Selby Shotokan Karate Clubs. Many thanks to Sensei Ian Shaw for running another great weekend. Osu!

Now and again Kato Shihan brings with him a visiting Karateka, I recognised her from Hungary and Rebecca said that she had competed with Fran in Kumite. I hope I have the name right, our visiting Karateka was Sensei Milena Galabova from Bulgaria.

Shihan Kato held a minutes silence on Sunday morning for remembrance Sunday.

Congratulations to all the Karateka that passed gradings today our roll of honour from Selby Club is as follows:

Rebecca Brant - 1st Kyu, Dominic Schilke - 2nd Kyu, Daniel Kozelko and Sam Dennis - 3rd Kyu (temp), Emma Moraes and Claire Hardy - 7th Kyu, Alan Coward and Kelvin Mizen - 8th Kyu, Callum Taylor Saunders, Phoebe Moraes, Lewis Coward and Josh Hardy - 10th Kyu.
