A big welcome to Josh and Lucy

Josh and Lucy joined our club in June, they had been training with Sensei Richard Oliver, practicing Wado Ryu Karate. Unfortunately Sensei Richard was unable to continue with his club due to other commitments.

The transition between styles to shotokan karate is not always easy and Josh and Lucy have done exceptionally well to keep with it. It s difficult when you probably find your training going backwards before you see improvement again.

Following an introductory period both Josh and Lucy were invited to join the Selby club and the IJKA association.

We hope you will be in a position to grade at Easter, keep up the good work and we look forward to training with you for many years to come.

Sensei Richard was also down training last night, hope to see you more often if you can make it. It is good experience sparring with someone with a completely different style.
